I was curious about how far I ended up running today to see what my overall pace was. According to gmap-pedometer it was around 16.72 miles and the other interesting thing was the close to 200 feet elevation change. On the way out gaining 200 feet and then loosing 200 feet on the way down. That does a good job of explaining the pick up in speed down congress and the sensation I was running “easy” once I hit the trail when I was probably running a little faster than I should have.
